- Chips & TO Cans
In 2005, CyOptics launched its die-level optical source and detector chips as technology enablers for TOSA/ROSA, component and module manufacturers. CyOptics has been a long-time industry leader in the design, processing and Quality Assurance of high-performance laser and detector chips, with over 15 million devices operating in the field with >350 billion service hours (<5 FIT) providing an unsurpassed record for ultra-high reliability. For Dense WDM applications up to 10Gb/s, CyOptics offers class-leading capabilities in the management of DFB and EML wafer output at C and L band wavelengths, for assured supply and flexibility. High temperature DFB and Fabry Perot chips as well as APD detector chips compliment the product portfolio.
- Components
CyOptics continues to develop and enhance its broad portfolio of cooled and un-cooled butterfly, mini-DIL and Transmitter source products, as well as mini-DIL and co-planar APD and PIN based receivers. Our 10Gb/s Electro-Absorption (EML) portfolio includes high-power versions with optional integral driver ICs. Our 2.5Gb/s and 20mW CW DFB products include versions with integral wavelength stabilization offering exceptional frequency stability. CyOptics' un-cooled laser portfolio includes Analog and Digital lasers for CATV and SONET/ SDH applications. And our receivers include a linear 10Gb/s co-planar offering for use in EDC applications as well as high-sensitivity 2.5Gb/s versions for use in noise-loaded applications.
- TOSA/ROSA
In 2005, CyOptics launched its 1600-Series Cooled Transmit Optical Sub-Assembly (TOSA) products at 2.5Gb/s and 10Gb/s. The 2.5Gb/s TOSAs are compliant to the existing Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) for 2.5Gb/s TOSAs, while the 10Gb/s variants are compliant to the XMD MSA. With class-leading electro-optic performance and exceptionally low power consumption, these TOSAs are designed for use in SFP, XFP and other transceiver and transponder modules, as well as optical line cards. 10Gb/s APD and PIN ROSAs with high sensitivity have also been developed for use in XFP and other applications to >11Gb/s (FEC) rates.
- Design & Manufacturing for Defense & Avionics
CyOptics designs, develops and manufactures custom ruggedized RF and fiber-optic components and modules for the Defense and Aerospace markets. We offer Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components and modules as well as custom Design and Manufacturing Services.
