CyOptics designs, develops and markets a full line of InP optical chips and components for integration into access, metro and long-haul communications systems. We also provide complete contract design, foundry and packaging services. We are an industry leader in both hybrid integration using different elements in a single package and monolithic integration on a single chip. Our products are enabled by an automated “nano-tech” capable manufacturing process that delivers best performance, uniformity and cost.

Product and Service Offerings

We deliver active optical components that include transmitters, receivers and modulators for 2.5Gb/s to 40Gb/s transmission. Our expertise lies in both the monolithic and hybrid integration of optical components that enables our customers’ micro-integrated modules and sub-systems. In addition, CyOptics is actively providing design and manufacturing services that include RF and optical design, wafer/chip fabrication and automated assembly and test for telecom and non-telecom applications.

Industry Management and Technology Leaders

Our management team and product design/manufacturing engineers have extensive industry experience having joined CyOptics from leading industry players including, most notably, Bell Labs. CyOptics employees have an average of 16 ½ years of industry experience and have collectively filed more than 100 patent applications during their careers. Production Facilities

Our device manufacturing capability includes Indium Phosphide wafer fabrication, re-growth, and characterization. We have a 60,000 sq. ft. wafer/chip fab in Lehigh Valley, PA. Our component packaging and test capability includes high precision placement (<1um), precise attachment methods, active fiber alignment and on-line, real-time data acquisition and analysis. We have an 80,000 sq. ft. automated assembly and test facility in Matamoros, MX. CyOptics is ISO9001:2000 certified.
